Bleacher Captains Recognized!

The Northfield High School 'Bleacher Captains' program was nominated for and won the Synergy & Leadership Exchange "Promising Practices" award!  This award recognizes our school for implementing a unique and successful practice that promotes character development.

Congratulations to all of our current and past 'Bleacher Captains' along with advisors for helping establish and implement this proactive program to our school community!!

MN Hockey Day Award

Congratulations to senior Olivia Rasmussen for receiving the Shannon O'Hara Foundation award as a part of Minnesota Hockey Day!  One player from each participating school was selected based on their team positivity and leadership.  Way to represent Northfield in such a positive way, Olivia!

NHS MSHSL Triple 'A' Award Winners!

Congratulations to Anna Forbord and Aki Gupta who have been selected as Northfield High School's 2024 MSHSL Triple 'A' Award winners!  Both Anna and Aki show high dedication to not only their academics but also in the arts and athletics.  The Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, commonly known as the Triple 'A' Award, honors high school seniors throughout the state who have a 3.0 or higher-grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities. Both Anna and Aki will now move into a pool of regional finalists and if they are selected there will be able to potentially win a statewide Triple 'A' award.

NHS MSHSL ExCEL Award Winners!

Northfield High School is proud to announce that the 2024 MSHSL ExCEL Award winners are Tara Alaniz and Nicholas Livingston.  This award is designed exclusively for juniors who are active in school activities, leaders in their schools, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.

Congratulations to both Tara and Nicholas!

"Iron Lady" Swimmers featured on WCCO!

Edy McLaughlin and Ella Krupicka were featured on WCCO who are celebrating women in sports making a difference in our community.  Edy and Ella recently swam and completed the "Iron Lady" (swimming in every single event in one meet).

2024 Hall of Fame

The Northfield Booster Club sponsored the 2024 Northfield High School Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony on October 5, 2024.  Eight individuals were inducted into the Hall of Fame with great stories and significant appreciation for those that supported them along their NHS journey!

The inductees are (in picture) - Derek Docken, Erica (Bolan) Coan, Scott Christensen, Kim Smisek, Matthew Gallagher, Anna Pfefferle, and Ann & Mike McGovern.

Kortuem named to Prep Athletes of the Week!

Nora Kortuem has been named to the Star Tribune's Prep Athletes of the Week!  The full article can be found HERE.  Congratulations Nora for a great early season honor!

Athletic Trainer Information

Our new trainer, Grant Manninen, will be available for our student athletes from 2:00-6:00 pm, Monday-Friday, beginning September 3.  Grant also covers many events after 6:00 pm so if you have any questions for him, he can be reached at mannineng@northfieldhospital.org

Need a Physical?

Northfield Hospital + Clinics are helping our athletes complete physicals for fall sports!  Sports physicals are required to play school sponsored sports and must be completed every three years.

Complete your sports physical by August 12 to begin fall sports practices on time!  Check out their flyer HERE.

Geiger named Herb Brooks Class A Award Winner

Senior Captain Jake Geiger has been named the 2024 Boys Class A Herb Brooks Award Winner!  This award is presented to select student athletes that exhibit high character, values, and traits that the legendary Herb Brooks displayed.

Wrestler makes history!

Sophomore Caley Graber was highlighted by a few news outlets for her wrestling accomplishments this past weekend at the wrestling State Tournament.  Caley is the first to win a match in the boys division of the State Tournament and overall she placed 5th.  Way to Caley - you made history!

Our Raider Girls Hockey team was highlighted on KSTP recently for their terrific season and being the last unbeaten girls hockey team in the state!  If you haven't seen the segment, you can view it HERE.

NHS - Let's get stronger!

NHS - Let's get stronger together!

If you are an athlete that is "out of season" or an NHS student that is interested in using the weightroom to get stronger, faster, quicker, and learning about healthy habits, SIGN UP HERE for our spring semester - it is FREE for our NHS students!!  

"Out of Season" days and times are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday's between 3:00-4:30 pm.  Sign up under "Strength Training - High School".

Spring Activities Update

Registration for ALL spring activities is now OPEN!!  If students were not currently in a fall or winter activity, they will need to have an updated physical on file before they can register.  Spring opportunities are below along with the first day of practice that students should be registered by:

New Online Ticketing Partner

Attending ticketed events in Northfield has changed a bit as we have now partnered with GoFAN.  Northfield students, families, and visiting fans will have the ability to purchase tickets on our GoFan page (click here for direct link) or you can scan a QR code (see below).  Northfield families will also have the ability to purchase season passes as they have in the past on the same website.  All season tickets must be purchased online as we have discontinued hard copies.  We suggest purchasing tickets early online, however, there will be a cash option at the event ticketing area for individual tickets.

Do you have an Activity Pass?

If you don't already have a Season Pass for Raider Activities, now would be a great time to purchase one!  Similar to the fall season, our winter season offers multiple opportunities to cheer our teams to victory so if you don't have a pass, follow this link to check on pricing.  These passes are especially great if you (or someone in your family) plan to attend multiple events this winter and spring!

New for 2024-2025 - we will no longer offer hard copy passes - everything is now digital.

Live Streaming

Our activities are in full swing and we are so excited to see our student athletes compete!  If you cannot make a live event with us, we have information below to help you not miss an event to continue supporting our Raiders.

Option #1 - NorthfieldLive.com - this free streaming service has announcers to provide some play by play action.  Please click HERE for their game schedule.

Option #2 - if option #1 is unavailable, we also offer HUDL TV.  This is a free streaming service but it is just the event with no announcers or play by play.  Still a great product to watch the Raiders!  Click HERE to access the site.

Option #3 - you can subscribe to the NFHS network to watch the contest.  There is also the ability to play back the game at a later day/time if interested.

With any option, we hope you enjoy the game and supporting our Raiders to victory!  It's a great day to be a Raider!

There is a fee to subscribe. $12 per month or $80 per year.  With the subscription you are able to watch not only Northfield events, but all high school events produced by NFHS Network across the country.

A  portion of every subscription fee is  returned to Northfield High School to help with production costs and aiding Northfield athletes.
