We are excited by your interest in playing this year in our middle school golf program, and look forward to helping you learn and grow in your golf game!  We will have a boys team and a girls team.

 Practices

  • We will utilize different practice locations; middle school gyms and The Summit for all offsite practices and home meets.

  • We will create a schedule for practice times.  Please note that the practice location is often listed as TBD as some days we may have access to the golf course.  We have found that it is far easier to tell the players where practice will be closer to the practice date.

  • We will let players know at least one day ahead where practice will be.  Coaches will also be available via cell phone so that players may contact them with any questions.  We will post the location on Schoology as well.  In the event of inclement weather, coaches will communicate as soon as possible about cancellations or changes in the schedule.

  • An activity bus is provided for any off-site practices and will return students to the middle school.  Bussing will be provided to and from any golf meets, the bus will leave from and return to the middle school.  Everyone is responsible for their own transportation home from practice.

 Golf Meets

  • We have six, nine-hole meets scheduled.  The golf meets allow us to take a combined 20 players from both the boys and girls teams.

  • These nine-hole meets give students an opportunity to play with other teams.  The meets provide an opportunity for students to learn how to play on a golf course and/or improve their golf course management skills.

What’s Needed to Play?

  • To play in golf meets, players will need a set of clubs.  Please talk to the coaches if you need a set of clubs.

  • Please wear appropriate golf apparel (a polo, and khakis/shorts).

  • Players are required to supply their own golf balls and tees for our meets and when we practice at the course.

  • We recommend warm (but comfortable) clothing.  Most students wear some type of athletic pants as opposed to jeans to provide the flexibility necessary to swing the club.

  • Tennis shoes are a must. NO SANDALS or BOOTS. Golf shoes are recommended but not required for off-site practice and meets.

  First Day

  • Our first day of practice is Tuesday, April 2nd.   Players should meet in the small gym at 3:00 and be dressed in tennis shoes and bring a putter with if you have one.
