NORTHFIELD HIGH SCHOOL FISHING TEAM
Tom and Anders at the State Tournament
Northfield High School's fishing team was established in 2019 and celebrated success in it's inaugural season sending 5 teams to the state fishing tournament. This activity has been supported by the Cannon River Sportsmen's Club both in providing expertise and boat captains. The Northfield Community has been generous in its support of this new club, financially subsidizing the purchase of both uniforms and equipment for the team.
Fishing teams compete in 3 bass tournaments between June and August followed by the state tournament which is held in Alexandria. Meetings will be held in early spring for interested students. Teams must have access to a 16 foot fishing boat with a live well.
